On January 5, 2024, Regal Standard Poodles welcomed a tiny singleton puppy into the world — and with her came a very big piece of our future.

Lacy was long awaited, deeply anticipated, and special from the very beginning.

As the daughter of AM/MBIS CAN GCH Lakeridge Unstoppable “Jagger” and CAN GCH Lakeridge Quality Spender “Sophia,” she represents a pairing that brought together two dogs who have helped shape the heart, type and direction of our program.

From Jagger, Lacy inherited unmistakable presence, substance and that ability to command attention the moment she enters a room.

From Sophia came elegance, femininity and a beautiful softness that balances her perfectly. Together, those qualities created a girl who is unmistakably Regal.

Lacy stepped into the show ring at just seven months old and immediately began making her mark. With multiple Best Puppy in Breed wins, multiple Puppy Group wins and Best of Breed wins, she completed her Canadian Championship at only nine months of age, despite being shown on a very limited basis.

But Lacy’s story has never been defined by ribbons alone.

She is spirited, affectionate, expressive and intensely connected to her people.  She has a larger-than-life personality, a love of attention and an effortless confidence that makes her impossible to overlook. Whether standing in the ring or curled up beside us at home, Lacy has always had a way of drawing people in.

What makes her especially meaningful is what she represents.

Lacy is our first home bred girl to carry the Regal name forward into our breeding program.

She is the bridge between two exceptional dogs we are incredibly proud of and the generations we are building toward.

She is not simply Jagger and Sophia’s daughter.

She is their legacy beginning to take on a life of its own.

And now, as Lacy prepares to become a mother herself, we get to watch that legacy continue — not just through her, but through the next generation of Regal Standard Poodles.
